Parfum (Fragrance)

Parfum (Fragrance)

INCI: PARFUM (FRAGRANCE)

Type: Perfuming agent

Origin: A blend of aromatic materials which can be derived from natural essential oils, isolates, or synthetically created aroma chemicals. The specific composition is proprietary to the fragrance supplier.

What it does:

Parfum on an ingredient list denotes a blend whose sole function is to impart a specific scent to the product. Its role is purely olfactory: Sensory experience: Creates the characteristic scent of the product, influencing user perception and enjoyment. Masking: Can be used to cover the natural odor of certain raw materials in a formula.

Why we use it:

It is included in our formulas at a minimal level solely to provide a subtle, pleasant sensory character to the product. We prioritize skin health, so any fragrance components used are carefully selected for compatibility. Regulatory disclosure: In compliance with EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, the term Parfum is the mandatory collective name for any fragrance blend used in a cosmetic product. Allergen transparency: By law, any of the 26 recognized fragrance allergens (e.g., limonene, linalool, geraniol) present in the blend above 0.001% in leave-on products (or 0.01% in rinse-off) must be listed individually by name on the INCI list, in addition to the term Parfum . This ensures transparency for consumers with sensitivities.
